Enjoyed reading the history. My dad's cousin Jean Ganss did the original research. My brothers and I are probably in the picture of the Sunday School classes included. Our family was active in the church until my dad's job required a move out of the area in 1962.

my friend came to the church to do some business, along with several other churches in the area and she commented to me on how dificult this job was. She was stating that people were rude, that she couldnt get in the doors. Then she told me how she came to Bethal and when she rang the bell someone actually greeted her, and when she came in that the secretary was VERY nice and accomidating! That was when I told her that was my church and so I knew it was an honest statement. GREAT JOB BECKY! Nothing like living with the spirit. We are the "Welcome Place" and your actions proved it!

Good afternoon pastor Bell.
My sister's husband passed away recently and you gave the sermon for him at Walker Funeral Home on Glendale on Tuesday August 12th. His name was Tom Harlow.
Your sermon was reassuring to the friends and family.
Then on August 23rd Sat. we went to the wedding of friend's of ours, their names are Ellie and Linwood. To our surprise the Pastor was non other than Pastor Bell. It's a small world. We liked the way the service went including the Pastor of another church.
God Bless You,

Steve and Diane Diefenbach

I am moving into the area of Bethel and am looking for a new Lutheran Church. I was a member at First English which you know closed it doors last April. I am raising three of my grandchildren and want to get them involved in the life of the church, since it has always been such a big part of my life. It has been such a joy and comfort to me over the years. My faith means a lot to me and active worship and church involvement has always been a part of that faith. God Bless you through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by the power of his Holy Spirit. Amen
